Busy again!!!

Hello, WEJieS!

I seem to be on the road most of the time at the moment. Maybe you could do me a Patron Map to show where I've visited this year to talk about my books!

On Monday, I was at a school in Stevenage; on Tuesday, Malton, in Yorkshire; two whole days at home and then a local visit in Gloucester.

And this week, it's:
  • London on Monday
  • Gloucester again on Tuesday
  • Oxford on Wednesday & Thursday
  • Swindon on Friday
 then the following week
  • two days in Leicester
  • then on to Southampton AND Gosport on Wednesday
  • Birmingham on Thursday
  • Portsmouth on Friday
and then back to Oxford on the Monday and Birmingham on the Tuesday before it all quietens down again!

In the meantime, I'm also trying to redesign my website, finish editing a video message for all of you, and start redrafting Stinkbomb and Ketchup-Face and the Evilness of Pizza, which is much too long at the moment!

But I won't be too busy to pop by here if you leave me a message.

Take care!

John

John, that picture of you looks like you're rapping, you look good out there.
You should go to the shops and buy a gangster hat, then rap.
You should write a new book called Stinkbomb and the Rapper. Or you should write one called Stinkbomb and Ketchup Face and the Rap of Madness.

  18. Hi, everyone.

What a great bunch of suggestions for Stinkbomb & Ketchup-Face! I had dinner with my editor the other night, and she's very hopeful that they're going to ask me to write some more S&KF books, so you never know, I might use some of your ideas.

I LOVED One Dog and His Boy. I thought it was an absolutely lovely story; it felt like an instant classic. I'm glad you're all enjoying it so much.

I've just started reading Wolf Hall, which is a very weighty and heavy book about one of Henry VIII's advisors. I've been wanting to read it for ages. I'm not sure what to read when I've finished it, but you've given me some terrific suggestions - maybe Out Of This World or Cry of the Icemark might be my next one.

Oh, and Andrew - sorry, I can't write a Skylanders book. I wouldn't be allowed, any more than the person who writes Skylanders would be allowed to write a Stinkbomb & Ketchup-Face book!

Better sign off now - I'm packing to go to Leicester. Glad you liked the video so much!

    John

  20. Hi, Mollie

I had a great time at Leicester, thanks - though I didn't get to see very much of it! I went out for a curry with Sarah McIntyre and some comics creators one evening, but otherwise it was just doing my events and signing books.

I'm working on the new Stinkbomb & Ketchup-Face right now - and I'm sure Mr Biddle's class will get to see it, maybe even while you're still in his class!

I haven't read Gangster Granny yet, but I'm sure I will at some point.

    John
